Current Affair in
TDSI
Visit
to RMCS, SNDC and
French Institutions
A TDSI delegation visited France, Sweden and the United
Kingdom from 3 to 11 September 2005. In France, the delegation
visited the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Ingenieurs des Etudes et
Techniques d'Armement (ENSIETA) and the Ecole Navale (both located in
Brest, W France) and the Delegation General de l'Armement (DGA)
headquarters in Paris. The delegation then visited the Swedish
National Defence College (SNDC) in Stockholm, Sweden and Cranfield University Defence College of Management and Technology (DCMT)
in Shrivenham, UK.
The visit created greater
awareness of TDSI and its educational programmes in these institutions. All these institutions expressed interest in greater
collaboration and interaction with TDSI. This ranges from sending suitable
lecturers to teach in the MDTS & GDDTS programmes and short courses,
joint organization of international seminars & workshops to working on
framework agreements between the institutions to sustain collaboration
and exchanges in defence education.
